What We Believe

Mission:

Waterbrooke's mission is to develop and maintain a Christ-centered, bible-based fellowship where the people of Victoria and surrounding communities can personally and fully experienceGod through a transformational relationship with His son, Jesus. We do this by celebrating God's presence and power, communicating His Word and way, and demonstrating His love and grace.

Vision:

We passionately desire all to receive the free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Who We Are

We are Bible-centered.

God’s Word is our central (and only) guide in all that we are asindividuals and as a church. We believe the truth of Scripture will changelives, making us morelike Christ as we learnand applyit daily.

The Holy Spirit empowers us.

The Holy Spirit is the power source that transforms ourlives and our church. Things done apart from the Spirit’s leading and powerwill be futile.

We reach out to others.

We seek to introduce others to Jesus Christ as He ispurely and simply The Hope of the World. We do so fervently, yet gracefully, sharing His love in ourlost and broken world.

Prayer is essential.

Through prayer we talk to and listen to the awesomeGod of the universe. It is both a lofty privilege and a source of wisdom andpower. Everyaspect of our livesmust bathedin prayer.

We serve others.

Jesus, who was aKing, chose to become a servant on our behalf. This sets the highest standardof serving, which we endeavor to follow inour everyday attitudes and actions.

We adore our God.

God is good all the time and all the time, God is good. That's why we reverently honor and celebrate Himtogether. Our worship is expressed joyfully, creatively and passionately.

We reflect God's love.

Because Christ first loved us, we must love others. His lovemust permeate every aspect of our relationships and church life as itstransforming powerchanges us.

We are givers.

We must be wise and responsible stewards of all that God has entrustedto us. We cannot "out-give" God so we must be willing to use His resources for the good of others and Hisever-expandingwork.

We are all ministers.

Believing that all are gifted by the Holy Spirit for God’swork, we seek to create an environment that encourages everyone to use their gifts, benefiting boththemselves and others.
